Overview

The Lucifernet MQTT server is a community-focused service for Meshtastic users, especially across Malaysia. It supports bridging devices over the internet without the strict filtering policies found in other public MQTT services (e.g., EU privacy constraints).

Users are free to connect, experiment, and relay data, but should understand and respect the open nature of this broker.

Server Behavior & Policies

No Zero-Hop Policy

Unlike public MQTT brokers with strict zero-hop rules, this server allows full propagation of messages within your mesh network. Any data received can be relayed to connected nodes, enabling wider communication across regions (especially helpful in Malaysia).

No Port Filtering

All known Meshtastic port numbers are accepted, regardless of PSK (pre-shared key). These include:

Location Precision Policy

This server does not enforce location precision filtering. All position packets (10–32 bits) are passed through as received. This is useful for APRS-like accuracy but may expose precise user locations.

Users are responsible for configuring their devices appropriately based on their own privacy preferences.

Private Broker Notice

This server functions as a private broker. While default PSKs such as AQ== are accepted and relayed, please be aware:

Custom PSKs are recommended for anyone who requires private, secure, and isolated communication.

Final Note: This is a hobbyist server provided without warranty or support. Please use responsibly and consider contributing or reporting issues if needed.
